Capture What Counts Photography

Day 212 – Shining Steeple

When I come across a church steeple, I normally like to get up close and personal in order to get the best shot.  This steeple was an exception to that.  Up close, I was unable to catch the beautiful shine the sun cast on the cross at the top.  So I’m really glad I took this shot too.  Because it’s not every day you see a shining steeple.  🙂

  1. I love this shot! You did a fantastic job on capturing the lighting. How far away were you that you could get such a clear shot at the steeple? And do you know what kind of church it is? Love the ornamentation on the steeple No frumpy steeple that:)

    • Rob thinks it was about a 1/4 mile away. We were at a stoplight across the bridge from it, and then it was 3 or 4 blocks once we crossed the river. And no…I don’t know what kind of church it was…I should start recording that. Thanks for your constant encouragement my friend! 🙂

I love the way the cross glows…it’s screaming “come and see me”! 🙂 Another awesome image, I think you should make a book of all of your steeples!
