Day 269 – Shrimp Fondue

Since Rob and I were still feeling pretty yucky yesterday, we decided to go out for dinner.  We went to Ruby Tuesday, somewhere that we don’t go very often.  They’re having a “Seafood Festival” going on right now, so we decided to partake.  We got the shrimp fondue appetizer (a blend of spicy shrimp, creamy cheese, and fresh pico de gallo. Served with unlimited tortilla chips) and can I just say, it was to die for!  It was definitely one of the best things I have ever eaten.  It was cheesy, it was creamy, it was shrimpy, it was just flat-out delicious.

The “Seafood Festival” is only going on for a “limited time,” so if you have a Ruby Tuesday near you, I really suggest you go out and get this.  You won’t be sorry!

    • Hey Kim…it was really awesome! So much so that Macy was using her fingers to get it out of the corners of the bowl! Shh…don’t tell her I told that! 🙂

    did you try making it? if its just the parmesan cheese sauce, pico de gallo, and shrimp it should be easy enough. i just don’t know how much of each to use and how to prepare it. i wanna make it for new years eve! thank you!

    • I have not tried making it Danielle. We tried to find out from the waiter what was in it, but he wouldn’t reveal the type of cheese. Shrimp and pica de gallo for sure, but not sure what kind of cheese. Let me know if you make and how it turns out! Thanks for visiting. 🙂

        ok, so i made it! i went off of some other peoples recipes, it came out delicious! here’s how i made it.
        1 10.75 oz can of cream of shrimp soup
        8 oz of cream cheese
        8 oz of sour cream
        salad shrimp
        1 cup of parmesan cheese
        worcestershire sauce, about three tablespoons, but its up to your preference
        garlic and onion powder
        pico de gallo, i just used half the bottle, but again it depends on what you like.
        just melt the soup, cream cheese, sour cream, parmesan, worcestershire sauce and garlic and onion powder until its creamy. then add the shrimp. pour it into a bowl and mix the pico de gallo in. its delicious! hope you like it:)

    It has swiss cheese,parmesan cheese, pico de gallo and shrimp. That is what I was told.

    • Thanks Craig…I’m doing much better. Got released from the doctor, foot is as good as it’s going to get. Still swelling and have some aches/pains/tingles from the nerve damage. Have to find my photography groove again…thanks for checking on me 🙂
