Capture What Counts Photography

Day 338 – Sassy

Macy and I met my friend Kim at the Kentucky Horse Park today.  We had a great time despite the cold, rainy weather.

This little cutie is a 6-week old miniature horse named Sassy.  And let me tell you…the name could not be more perfect for her.  She was full of it and strutted her stuff all over the stall.  Her little mane was the cutest thing I have seen in a long time.  Isn’t she precious?

Adorable. Did you know that miniature horses are now approved service animals? If a guest has one registered as a service animal we have to let it stay at the resort. I hope one comes in soon. Speaking of which…remember the day we saw one in the back of the van ahead of us on the Interstate?

    • It was very hard Amber. We discussed it. LOL! She would make a fabulous addition to the “zoo” we already have 🙂

ahhh. that brings back memories! we raised, trained and showed miniature horses for 10 years. they are so sweet! and there is nothing like carrying a baby miniature horse in your arms. i’ve never met a breeder that hasn’t done that!

oh! i used to bring mine in the house (when handsome hubby wasn’t home) and we had one ride in the back seat of the car 🙂

    • She was only about 12″ high at her back. I really think my 13 pound Pomeranian is taller than she was. Thanks for stopping by!
