Capture What Counts Photography

On the Farm

I’ve been asked to photograph a wedding in January, and I have basically no experience photographing people.  Unless you count the dude at the river I posted back a few weeks…who had no clue I was taking his photo.  🙂  So…I have to get working on that!

Today, Macy helped a friend’s family at a county farm tour.  She looked so cute in her cowboy boots, I knew I had my first real people shot.  SOOC.

Looks like Macy will be a real cowgirl lol She looks great! Wow, a wedding? Awesome Bonnie. I have not been shooting tons of people either, that is why I started my other blog…which I am trying to put only faces on it (animals and people). 🙂 Start practicing now and you will be great in no time! 🙂

I broke down and bought a speedlite…I went to a class last Friday to learn how to use it and also about natural lighting…it was really fun. I am heading out this morning to try what I learned.

  3. You’ll do just fine. I know that nervous feeling, though. Just make sure you know the location well and what it will look like at the time of the wedding. One o’clock looks very different than 5:00. And don’t forget to breathe! 😉

  6. I hate shooting people not because I can’t do it, but because when is anyone every happy with a photo of themselves. I’d rather not disappoint. This photo is awesome! Just keep practicing & experimenting and you’ll feel more confident with every shot. You’ll do great!

  7. Very cute photo!!!
You can find alot of information on the web.. Keep it simple. Talk to the bride and groom ahead of time about the expectations (and your limitations)..

    You can do this
