Spring has sprung in northern KY, and colors are everywhere. I couldn’t resist a shot of some yellow forsythia against that amazing blue sky.
I know I shouldn’t complain about the storms that keep rolling through the N KY/Cincinnati area. I really shouldn’t. Not with all the death and destruction that others have faced due to the storms. But I am absolutely terrified of tornadoes. Like ridiculously afraid. It goes back to living through Hurricane Fran that ravaged through NC on September 5, 1996. I have not been the same since.
I pray for all the victims and survivors of the storms that have ripped through the country recently. If you have not done so already, visit this Facebook page. And remember to thank God for what you have, and pray for those that don’t have anything anymore. The lady that created this FB page is amazing. Go check out the page. Check out her blog.
So, since this was the view out my front door earlier this evening, I decided maybe I shouldn’t take my walk tonight. Stay safe everyone!
Tonight Macy and I went to a get together with friends in Milford, OH. About 8 PM this storm came rolling in (photo is SOOC.) I am not a fan of thunderstorms (when they become severe with possible tornadoes) but I was quite at ease during this one tonight. Could be the fact that Stacy’s house has a nice big basement…and the fact that the local tornado siren is directly across the street from her house. See it standing there at the ready? Nice. 🙂
I couldn’t help but take a photo of the beautiful blue sky and puffy white clouds today. I mean it’s only been weeks (yes…weeks!) since we’ve seen either. We’ve had over 13 inches of rain here in the N KY since April 1, and more is predicted before April is over. So yeah, the blue sky was kind of a big deal today. 🙂
My thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by the horrific tornadoes of the past few weeks.

Today Macy and I went to see Soul Surfer with our friend Jackie. Great movie…you should go check it out.
Afterward, we stopped by Cold Stone Creamery for some very overpriced ice cream and some people watching. While sitting outside enjoying the beautiful day, this DHL plane flew overhead and I couldn’t resist snapping a shot of the colors against that blue sky. Photo is SOOC.
Macy and I spent the afternoon with some friends in Indiana today. On the way back home, I had to stop and get a shot of this steeple. It looked so awesome against the blue sky and fluffy clouds. (SOOC)
Macy snapped this photo of Mr. Sunshine behind some clouds the other day. Hopefully I will be over this devil sickness soon and can get back to taking some photos. (Photo is SOOC)
