Heart of Gold

This rose is called “Heart of Gold.” One of my dear friends gave it to me for Mother’s Day. I love it.Heart of Gold 2

Day 273 – For Japan

Today has been filled with sadness, worry and prayer.  My heart aches for those who have been affected by the disastrous earthquake and the resulting tsunamis.  I am happy and relieved to know that my Aunt who resides in Hawaii is fine and suffered no damage.

Looking up at the beautiful blue sky today, it was hard to believe that such devastation and loss of life was going on in other parts of the world.   Please join me in praying for the people of Japan…if only this rose could make a difference for them.

Day 266 – Pop of Sunshine

It’s raining again here in the N KY.  I’m not so much a fan of the rain, but I’ll take it over snow any day!  This rose has such awesome color, it’s like a little pop of sunshine.  Perfect for a rainy day.

I had some fabulous news this week (some of you already know) that I’ll be sharing more about in the coming days!  🙂

Day 262 – Angelic

The softness of these petals makes me think of angel wings…

Day 252 – Another Round

I couldn’t let this rose get away without another round of photos.  Love the colors in it.

Day 146 – Beauty

I have had a very busy and stressful week and I am just flat worn out tonight.  I did take some photos today, but I am just too tired to even look at them.  So I confess, today’s photo was taken a couple of weeks ago in Lexington.

Day 138 – Joseph’s Coat

I am not certain of the name of this rose, but after doing some research, I am pretty sure it’s a Joseph’s Coat.  That’s what I’m going with anyway.  LOL!  I know one thing, against that Carolina blue sky, it is gorgeous!  🙂

Oh, and this photo is totally unedited!  The sky was really that color that day.  So awesome!
