Happy New Year!

Wow…has it really been six months since I posted anything? Geez…time flies.

I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas and that 2015 is treating you well so far. We’ve been under the weather but not letting it get us down.

On the way home from a doctor visit yesterday, my daughter and I both noticed how amazing the sunset was. We decided to stop at the tracks and capture God’s gift. Taken with iPhone. There just aren’t words. 🙂

This rose is called “Heart of Gold.” One of my dear friends gave it to me for Mother’s Day. I love it.

Know any Photographers in Kansas City, MO?

Hi All! Sorry I’ve been absent from posting photos. I’ve gotten into a new venture, and photography has taken a back seat. However, I’m hoping this new venture will eventually lead me to exotic places and I can then take photos and blog about my adventures. Stay tuned!  🙂

In the meantime though…do any of you know any photographers in Kansas City, MO? A dear friend of mine has a brother in Kansas City who recently got engaged, and they are looking for someone to do engagement photos. The wedding will be in Africa, so no package is needed, but they are looking for someone to document their journey thus far.

If you know of anyone in the area, I would really appreciate you letting me know!!

The Walcott Covered Bridge

On our way to the senior photo shoot a couple weekends ago, we passed the Walcott Covered Bridge. We stopped to take some photos here before heading on to the farm.

Last weekend I did a photo shoot for a high school senior. I have to say, it was probably the most fun photo shoot I’ve ever done. The family was just amazing, and so organized! They brought their own props and everything. Here are a couple of photos from the day.

I can’t take credit for the idea of this photo, Cody’s dad had this one all worked out. But I love how it came out!

Komorebi

I posted this pic to Facebook last night, and a friend of mine commented back that the word “komorebi” showed up on her news feed from a site called word porn. It means “sunlight that filters through the leaves of trees.”
